Data protection information

Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in our company and our services. We take the protection of personal data very seriously and want you to feel safe when visiting our internet sites. We process personal data collected during your visit to our websites according to the legal stipulations, in particular those of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG).

How do we process personal data?

At different stages of our internet presence, we offer you the option of getting in touch with us or making use of certain services (e.g. newsletter subscription). We only use the personal data sent during this process for the one purpose, for which you sent it to us. Your data is not forwarded to third parties.

What is personal data?

Personal data is the information that makes it possible to identify a person. This includes in particular your correct name, address and phone number. Information that cannot be directly linked to your real identity (e.g. favourite websites or number of users per site) is not personal data. (See also below: “Is data recorded during my visit?”)

Which data is requested?

Wherever the internet offers the option of entering personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses), the disclosure of such data by the user is carried out explicitly on a voluntary basis. The use of all the services offered is – where technically possible and reasonable – also allowed without giving such data or by giving anonymised data or a pseudonym. However, by also giving the optional data correctly, you enable us to look after you personally and individually.

Is the confidentiality of e-mail correspondence/contact guaranteed?

Should you wish to get in touch with us by e-mail or contact form, we point out that the confidentiality of the transmitted information may possibly not be guaranteed. The content of e-mails can be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend that you send us confidential information exclusively by post.

Is data recorded during my visit?

With each access of a user to a site from our web offer and with each opening of a file, access data will be saved on our server by this process in a log file.

  • IP address
  • Site from which the file is requested
  • Date, time
  • Browser type and browser settings
  • Operating system
  • Site you visited
  • Transferred data volume
  • Access status (file transmitted, file not found etc.)

Statistics are generated from these files that help us to better adapt our internet presence to your needs.  A personal connection can only be derived from this if you register directly on our site or access our website from a personalised site. A forwarding of the data to third parties, even in extracts, does not however take place under any circumstances.

Do you use cookies?

We use session cookies on our site. The data is not saved permanently. Using time-limited cookies offers you the advantage that you do not need to enter your personal data each time that you fill in various forms in our web offer: the cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. You can, however, deactivate the saving of cookies or set your browser so that it informs you as soon as cookies are sent. If you have deactivated cookies, a so-called session ID serves to identify a person during the associated access on our website. No data is saved on your computer. The session ID is deleted again after site-access termination.

Do I have any influence on the use of my data?

Naturally, you have the sole right to decide if and for which purpose we may use your data. For example, you have the option of subscribing to a newsletter. You can unsubscribe again at any time. Normally there is a link placed at the end of the newsletter that enables the unsubscribing of the newsletter without any problem. Furthermore, you alone determine whether we ourselves may use your data for advisory, advertising and market research purposes. Here again, you can revoke the consent you have once given at any time.

Do you pass on my data to third parties?

We only use personal data for internal purposes in the course of the customer relationship. Forwarding to third parties does not take place without your necessary consent. Collection of person-related data and its transmission to state institutions and authorities that are entitled to information only takes place within the scope of relevant legislation or to the extent that we are obliged to do so by a court decision. All employees and service companies are sworn to secrecy and compliance with data protection regulations by us.

How can I check, correct or delete my data?

According to § 34 and § 6b of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), users have the right to obtain information free of charge on the personal data saved about them. In addition, the users are also entitled to the correction, blocking and deletion of this personal data in accordance with the statutory regulations.

Please get in touch with us directly in all these cases.

Is this data protection statement also modified?

On the basis of current circumstances, such as e.g. an amendment to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), we will – if necessary – update this data protection statement.
